Jane welcomed us very warmly and helped us pick the perfect recliners for my husband and I. She is extremely professional in knowledge and customer service. Fantastic to deal with . Our only complaint was her manager he was quite pushy. Kept interrupting our sale because he wanted her to work faster. That’s not how one should conduct business considering it’s not pennies we were spending. Jane we can’t thank you enough for our experience with YOU!! FYI store was in New Market

Our old leather sofa was originally purchased at Chesterfield store many years ago. We visited the local store on Yonge street to check out new sofas with no real plans to get the new one.
So, we met Vanessa who showed us some models and provided useful information about the displayed sofas, colours and leather quality options. She was very friendly and professional guiding us thru the store and shared all relevant details.
She was patient and helped us to get the right one.
As promised, our new sofa arrived on time and we hope to enjoy it for many more years.
We are assuming that all sales people at the store are good but would definitely recommend Vanessa to any potential customer.

My partner and I recently bought a small-space accent chair and were impressed by the wide selection at The Chesterfield Shop. What really stood out, though, was Karen’s service—she was responsive and attentive to our needs and knowledgeable about both the products and design elements. Far and above the best customer service experience we’ve had while shopping for chairs!

Update: The VP reached out and rectified our situation, the couch is great quality and overall I would still recommend this brand as they care about their customers and have a long history of excellent reviews. They are trying their best so we hope this is just a one-off situation.

Do not buy a couch here unless you’re prepared to wait 11+ weeks for delivery.

I rarely write negative reviews because I understand how much they can impact a business. However, given that this store has been around for over 75 years and considering the price I paid for my sofa, this experience has been extremely disappointing.

The in-store customer service was wonderful—patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. Unfortunately, that level of service disappeared the moment my order was placed.

We ordered a custom sofa on September 14th and were told to expect a 6–8 week timeline. A sofa was delivered at week 8, but it wasn’t the one we ordered. The cushions were completely wrong.

When I followed up the same day (a Saturday), I was told it would be another 1–2 weeks. When I followed up again by email, the responses were dismissive, and no one apologized or acknowledged the inconvenience. Eventually, someone called to apologize and provided yet another timeline of 2–3 weeks.

This has been incredibly frustrating, especially because we had just moved in and were excited for this couch, which was highly recommended. Given the mistake and the delays, I genuinely expected some form of compensation—waiving the delivery fee, a cleaning kit, anything as a gesture of goodwill. Instead, I received a single apology and an explanation that the issue was the warehouse’s fault and the store “can’t inspect the product.”

For a business with this reputation and price point, I expected better.

We had an amazing experience at The Chesterfield Shop on Yonge. We were shopping for a sofa for our first home, and Vanessa (the manager) and Sam on the floor made the whole process feel easy and enjoyable. They were incredibly patient, answered all our questions, and never made us feel rushed or pressured.
What really stood out was how much effort they put into helping us customize the sofa exactly the way we wanted. It honestly felt like they cared just as much as we did about getting it right.

We walked out with a smile on our face and couldn’t be happier with the service we received. Huge thanks to Vanessa and Sam — we highly recommend this location.

The customer service provided by Binal Shah was excellenty! she was very helpful with my queries pointing out other options according to my living room space.
I had it delivered next day in the morning and also the delivery crew was also excellent with timing and care.
Totally recomment this store when shoping for furniture.
