Shop Canadian!

Even if that's not your reason for dropping into The Chesterfield Shop, it's totally worth the visit if you're looking to update your couch, recliner, theatre chairs etc. It has been years since I had been in the Chesterfield Shop - updating recliners was the reason for the visit. It was great to see the up-to-date line up of choices and selection.

And we left happy, with a great reclining couch on order. Terrific service provided by Jasmina, we couldn't have asked for better. All in all, a great experience that otherwise could often be frustrating. Not here though. Everything went very well - we can't wait for our new couch to be delivered :)

And of course, it doesn't hurt that it's built here in Canada!

From start to finish, this was old school customer service. Sandra helped us every step of the way and helped us sort out this ugly tariff business. There are plenty of Canada made options!

The gents who came to check the measurements of our hallway as well as the deliver my couch were stellar too (them calling me "miss" is worth 5 stars alone).

The couch itself is spacious and comfortable from the word go. It's actually a problem - I'm sitting on it all day and cant be asked to move!

Was the couch cheap? No. Was it it worth it? Heck yes!

We have dealt with The Chesterfield Shop for past 15 -20 years. The Leather couch & chairs we purchased have lasted 15 + years and we are only replacing the furniture to update our room. The quality is incredible. We did a lot of comparison shopping at big name stores but couldn't find anything comparable in quality. Also, we dealt with Jasmina, a very knowledgeable & helpful sales associate who we went back to a year after our initial consultation. I was asked to write a review a day after purchasing to explain how much fun I had purchasing my couch. This was true until yesterday when I was told they won’t be able to use the fabric I picked out for the certain couch. Yet I was showed the fabric by the sales lady for that specific couch. Now when asked for a refund it became an issue now they won’t refund me the way I paid and I have to wait for a check. So now I have no money to go purchase a couch I would like. I have tried to call the main office and nothing. This was not my fault but the stores fault for showing fabrics that weren’t available. Just safe yourself the issue and troubles and go elsewhere! Especially when you’re spending that kinda money!

Update: now being told they can’t sign off on the check cuz now all of a sudden the boss is out of the country!!

I’m updating once again since my sales associate was probably the only thing keeping me buying a couch! Aya was the one that brings the stars up head office not so much, she went to the extremes to fix the issue! Plus the delivery drivers went above and beyond as Aya did as well!

Dennis was great and the delivery guys were great too, overall. The only quibble I have, is that one of the two delivery guys kept his wet running shoes on when in the house. It didn't make a huge mess but was not thoughtful, as we had to wipe up wet/salty footprints in the front hall, stairs and basement floor. They should have had "indoor shoes" or shoe covers. (The other guy just wore his socks which isn't really ideal for him.)

We have been shopping around for a couch and The Chesterfield Shop was the 5th store we checked out. We did find better prices at Ashley, The Brick and IKEA but the quality of the sectionals and the customer service that Aya gave us stood head and shoulders above the competition. Aya made us feel comfortable and was very patient even as we tried what felt like every couch in the store with our 7yr old who can be a handful sometimes. Aya even gave our daughter a measuring tape which was very nice. The original plan was to go back to the other stores to compare all the sectionals we had seen and then make a decision. But after dealing with Aya, we decided to just go ahead and purchase the sectional from The Chesterfield Shop.
