Our new City Sized Seating™ Downtown location features smaller scale flexible, functional urban seating, perfect for apartments, condos, lofts, townhomes and full-size homes.

We specialize in sofas, modular deep sectionals, sofa-beds (with amazing mattresses), pairs of chairs, recliners and seating that disassembles and reassembles (we’ll do it for you upon delivery!) for easy access into most tight spaces (and small elevators and narrow stairways!). We provide a free “check-measure” service if you are in-doubt of the fit.

Newly opened in Summer 2022, there are two spacious levels, accessible by stairs and elevator, of beautiful seating. The comprehensive selection includes sofas, sofa-beds, sectionals, loveseats, chairs, recliners, lift-chairs, home theatre, ottomans and more. City-Size™ and Sofa-beds

The Chesterfield Shop opened it’s original location in Toronto’s Junction selling sofa-beds. Over the past 7 decades, The Chesterfield Shop remains family-owned and operated, and has evolved into 6 wonderful locations in the GTA and Newmarket– and sofa-beds are still our thing. They come in all shapes, from single and full to Queen and King. With easy-to-open contract mechanisms, and a large selection of Posturepedic or gel mattresses, there is a comfortable sleeping option for everyone. In-stock or special order.

The Chesterfield Shop carries City-Size™Seating designed to look proportionally beautiful and easily fit into smaller spaces. Many of the sofa we carry have arms and backs that can be removed and reassembled for impossibly tight spaces. We offer complimentary check-measures if there’s any doubt- we do our best to ensure a “no-fit” doesn’t occur.

We received excellent service from Karen at the downtown store in selecting a sofa and chair and upholstery options. She was knowledgable and professional. There was a glitch at the manufacturing end with respect to the chair, but Ruhi in the service department worked closely with us and the manufacturer and it was resolved completely to our satisfaction. We love our new furniture.

Binal was a great sales and customer service rep - really responsive and patient to help us find the couch we wanted for the best deal in our price range. Delivery was also solid - it makes a difference that they are Chesterfield employees and not outsourced so the delivery guys helped us break down a chesterfield couch we had to move out later that day as well as were extremely organized and friendly moving our new couch in. I would highly recommend buying a couch from Chesterfield.

We had a great experience with the team at The Chesterfield Shop. We visited a few times while deciding on our new L-shaped sofa, and they were always patient, answering all our questions each time. As others have mentioned, the atmosphere was completely no-pressure, which made the process very comfortable. They helped us configure the model and choose the right fabric. We also purchased a replacement sofa bed mattress for our existing pull-out couch.

The quality and comfort of the sofa exceeded our expectations. The build feels solid, the cushions are supportive yet comfortable, and the fabric looks and feels fantastic.

We were told our new sofa would take 6–8 weeks to arrive, and it was delivered right on schedule. Delivery was seamless—the drivers arrived promptly at 11am within the 11–2pm window and made the process a breeze.
